Kimberly Hagerman

What is your name?

Kimberly Hagerman, just Kimmie to close friends/family!

Where are you from?

Born in Leominster, MA, but raised in many different places. I’m an Army brat! I have lived in OR the longest, so can I claim OR?

What is your profession?

Logistics Supplier Manager/Project Manager. Currently, I manage the movement of the world’s most technologically advanced (and SUPER sensitive) semiconductor equipment from all over the world into Hillsboro, OR and Santa Clara, CA.

Describe your family? (i.e. husband, wife, kids, siblings, mom dad, etc. )

I think most folks at the gym know my husband, Billy. He works out with me in the mornings and also coaches BJJ in the evenings. We have chosen to not have human children, but we do have a cute canine daughter, Twinkie Lee, who is a Bichon Frise. We recently had to say goodbye to our handsome little boy, Captain Jack, a Chihuahua. Our dogs are our children; they go almost everywhere with us and we would do anything for them! We also have two God-Daughters and we are very close with them. We just recently took our oldest GD to Maui with us this past March.

What obstacle(s) have you found most challenging in your life?

I’m very grateful that I have had a fairly easy life! Not that there have not been obstacles…but I know that anything can be overcome with hard work, focus, dedication, and support from amazing friends and family!

How did you discover SWEAT360?

We live close by and I noticed a small facility that popped up. I would see people running and working out outside on nice days, so I checked out the website a couple of times and mentioned it to Billy. Around that same time, Billy was contacted by a friend and BJJ coach who invited him to come to an informational session and startup of BJJ classes at Sweat. That gave us the kick in the butt we needed to check it out. It was meant to be!

What is your favorite class at SWEAT360?

I LOVE HiDef…and I LOVE that classes are available at 05:30am! I can hop out of bed, not think about anything, get my butt kicked at HiDef, and be on my way. I love that I don’t have to take time to plan a workout…I know the awesome, experienced coaches at Sweat have me covered!

What keeps you motivated and inspired?

I’m motivated to work hard so I can play hard. I’m motivated to be a great role-model to my God-Daughters. I’m inspired by so many people around me…that’s why I surround myself with such great people, including my Sweat family!

Describe your perfect day?

My perfect day would be waking up around 05:30-6 in Maui, going for a run, breakfast, a leisurely paddle on a SUP with visits from Honu (turtles), lunch, beach time (snorkel, swim, surf, sun), BBQ for dinner, and falling into bed early – exhausted from an active day. I’m hoping that this is what retirement will look like for me!

What did SWEAT360 provide for you short term?

Quick, early morning butt-kickin’s!

What did SWEAT360 provide for you long term?

Sweat has given me a diverse community and network of amazing coaches and new friends from all walks of life! It gives me a means to continue my education and journey of a healthier ME.

What is your life mantra? (i.e. Live. Laugh. Love. Etc.)

In the past my mantra has been, “Suck it up!” I learned early on that life’s not fair and nothing is going to be handed to you on a silver platter. Everyone will encounter hard times. You can sit back, whine, and play the victim, or suck it up and push through it! In using that with others and realizing it had the opposite effect of motivating, I’ve changed it more to, “You can do this!” I am known to let a “suck it up!” slip from time to time, just ask my patient and loving husband!
